Nominations are now open for the 2023 HINO Supercars Media Awards.
The Awards are for work undertaken between 5 November 2022 to 11:59.59pm Tuesday 31 October 2023

Media outlet / Publication of the year

The media outlet, publication, network or channel judged to have best covered Supercars racing in 2023. Examples of coverage provided should be cited, including breadth of content, reach, audience and similar examples.

Journalist of the year

The most outstanding journalist covering Supercars in 2023. Examples of work showcasing outstanding output, be it feature work or news breaking stories, should be cited.

 Photographer of the year

Photographers will submit a suite of 5-10 images that best showcase their work covering Supercars Racing in 2023, including any outstanding or noteworthy images captured that elevate their field of work.

 Broadcaster of the year

The best broadcaster on any platform – TV, digital, Radio or otherwise – covering Supercars in 2023. Nominations will include examples of work produced, where it was produced, and any other key details related to the process.

Media Manager of the year

Media Managers representing Supercars teams, Support Category or Events or individuals can submit their nomination, with the winner the media manager judged to have best achieved outcomes for their client(s) in the media throughout 2023.

Best Supercars News Story

The winner will be the best breaking news, exclusive or piece of reporting produced covering the 2023 season or drivers, teams, events (or similar) that year.

Best Supercars Feature Story

The winner will be the best long-form written content produced covering the 2023 season or drivers, teams, events (or similar) that year.

Best Supercars Radio show / podcast

The winner will be the podcast best judged to have provided outstanding coverage of the Supercars championship and its associated teams, drivers and events throughout 2023. Examples of content produced should be cited.

Best on track photo

Photographers will submit one (1) photo that best showcases their on-track photography skills, captured during the 2023 season. This must be an action photo taken of vehicles on track.

Best news or feature photo

Photographers will submit one (1) photo that best showcases their off-track photography skills, captured during the 2023 season. This can include portraits, studio work, pit lane, or static photography. _

Best use of social media covering Supercars

Best use of social media covering Supercars. The winner will be the individual or outlet best judged to use their social media channels to cover Supercars, be it a news outlet, a dedicated social account or a team / individual / corporate account leveraging their involvement in the sport. Examples of work, reach and impact should be cited.

Best Supercars PR stunt / activation

The best team or series effort that includes a promotional event, PR ‘stunt’, media activation or similar produced throughout the 2023 season. Nominations should cite impact, media generated, impact of the event and similar. 

Best video production

The winner of this category will be the outlet judged to have produced the best video production or content generated in the 2023 season. This could be a short, social media clip or a more longer-form production.

Nominations should include a link to the finished product, it’s initial brief and concept and outcomes from it.
