EVAN GREEN INDUCTED INTO V8 MEDIA ASSOCIATION HALL OF FAME

LEGENDARY Australian motoring journalist and broadcaster Evan Green was honoured at the fourth annual Castrol V8 Media Awards presented by Nissan, held in Sydney on Friday night.

The well-recognised voice of Australian Touring Car Racing throughout the 1960s, 70s and early 80s was recognised as the 11th inductee into an elite group of Australia’s motorsport and motoring media at an event held at The Stables in Sydney Olympic Park.

Introduced by great friend and fellow Hall-of-Famer Will Hagon, Green – who passed away in 1996 aged 65 –  was recognised for his remarkable career as an automotive journalist, Public Relations representative and as a broadcaster throughout a career that spanned more than 35 years.
His success behind the wheel as a rally driver was also acknowledged.
The award was accepted by one of his four children, Linda Campbell, who in an emotional acceptance speech recognised her late father as a ‘larger than life character to the media and to his family as well’.
